I'm a little late to the party.... I just found out that my Dr. Seuss inspired table and pendant lamp were featured in Apartment Therapy's round up of Seuss-ified spaces. I'm happier than a Who sipping moose juice. Considering my studio walls are lined with vintage Seuss memorabilia and pre-commercial collectibles finding inspiration was a little easy.
I was just talking Seuss with a client today. We realized that we had collaborated years ago. She was the choreographer and I designed some sets for a high school dance group back in 2001 who's performance was inspired by the Sneetches. You know, Stars upon thars. I'll have to dig around and see if I can find an uploaded video. Update: I found a video. see below, I was quite proud of my rolling 6 foot cube that unfolded like origami into a star off / star on machine. Technically, I wanted it to be 6 and 3/4 feet from under it's rolling go wheelies to the top of its peak.
