I'm a little late to the party.... I just found out that my Dr. Seuss inspired table and pendant lamp were featured in Apartment Therapy's round up of Seuss-ified spaces. I'm happier than a Who sipping moose juice. Considering my studio walls are lined with vintage Seuss memorabilia and pre-commercial collectibles finding inspiration was a little easy.

I was just talking Seuss with a client today. We realized that we had collaborated years ago. She was the choreographer and I designed some sets for a high school dance group back in 2001 who's performance was inspired by the Sneetches. You know, Stars upon thars. I'll have to dig around and see if I can find an uploaded video. Update: I found a video. see below, I was quite proud of my rolling 6 foot cube that unfolded like origami into a star off / star on machine. Technically, I wanted it to be 6 and 3/4 feet from under it's rolling go wheelies to the top of its peak.

Good Luck to my prop/set/floor design children as they head to their state dance competition. It's always a pleasure working with such wonderful high school kids, coaches and of course parents!
Yes, that's a gymnasium sized floor painting. It was painted with rollers and brushes.
My midway carving of mythological beasts from foam over a steel armature.
The State Champions for 2014 dance on my floor painting.
A gigantic gym sized Rorschach ink blot painting I created for a dance team.
Spooky paint finishes for Clackamas
Performers dancing on my cemetery courtyard floor painting.
It takes a dozen people to move and spread out the painted performance floors.
These are basketball gym sized floors I've painted for several teams.  The props and sets are also of my design.  Thank you to Patrick Smith Photography letting me share some of your photos.

A little cemetery prop and and set painting rounds out my Wednesday. Halloween in March? Oh...and thank you Tom for the pizza, which is conspicuously hidden...not!

How sweet is my client? She's my latest international client reigning from Ireland. Her Mom and I hit some international shipping stumbling blocks at first but now my girls Rock and Roll art and wall decals have a wall to call home. They sent me this picture today and it made my day! Rock On my darling Irish friend!

Hey PDX'ers the Boys' Fort loves local. They are purveyors of art, furniture, decor and hand selected gift items from hundreds of NW artists and craftspeople. The Fort frontmen Rolfe and Jake have created this wonderful display featuring my reclaimed wood mounted art and stretched canvases. Uh...I want to move in! Stop in and tell the "Boys" I sent you! —

What a fun snow day of surprises today.... UPS just delivered samples of my latest #drinkblots art coasters for Magnet Works, Ltd. They're a curious mix of random geeky facts in alphabet form. Whomever at Magnet Works wrote the copy on the back I'm delighted. It says "An alpha-sequential collection of inconsequential factoids". Ha! that might also double as my biography! Here's a glimpse of them. They're destined for gift boutiques and retailers nationwide and online through companies like our friends at Flag Fables, Inc.

Not your typical studio.... Today I'm carving 6 foot sculptures with a chainsaw. Think Edward Scissorhands meets Paul Bunyan minus the guy-eye-liner. It has something to do with these pretty hooves I worked into a local show's design. I'm going to squeeze my big dogs into a pair of these and go mow my front yard. Don't they look like fun? Come on....don't be a fuddy dudd, you'd wear 'em admit it! -Aaron
